The fishing cabin was the first shelter
we built. It was thrown together by our Dallas contractor and
erstwhile fisherman, Perry.
has the distinction of being the only ranch place that was ever
vandalized. Early on, someone permanently borrowed all of our
fishing gear. In the end, it was a good thing since we soon hired
John Pellazzarri for ranch security.
Besides sentimental value, the fishing
cabin sports it's own outhouse (it flushes) and sleeping lofts for
the half hearted camper. Until the barn bunks were completed it was
also rumored to be the county's premier card location.
